Email Smells Phishy

I recently got an email written in French. I know this email is fake. For your amusement, here is the translation.

I know that it is with surprise that you read this email. I need really your assistance in the execution of a financial transaction of the sum of US$7.500.000. N the other hand I will give you 17% of the total sum. I ask you to contact me at my address email for more explanations.

I did a google search and I came up with similar letters . Someone posted this same letter on thier blog as well. Maybe I should reply to  post their response.
